Eagle Scout
I have a passion for exploring the outdoors and have spent almost my entire life being a Boy Scout. Since kindergarten, Scouting has been a huge part of my life and I even became an Eagle Scout in high school. Whether camping in feet of snow, or in the blazing heat of summer, I always find happiness in enjoying nature.
Musician
Another one of my passions is music, specifically playing the trumpet. I have been a trumpeter for over a decade and I continue to perform in the Bearcat Marching Band at Northwest!
Favorite Quote
"Opportunities multiply as they are seized" - Sun Tzu
This quote by Sun Tzu is one of my favorites and a motto that I try to live by. I truly believe that opportunities to improve your live continue to appear as you seize them and it's all about taking that first step out of your comfort zone. It also ties to another quote I loved in high school, "Carpe diem" or "Seize the day."
What motivates you?
I find myself motivated by satisfying my curiosity. Whenever I encounter something confusing or a topic I do not understand, I dedicate a lot of time to figure it out and truly understand the topic. Growing up, I would often explore the wilderness on Scout Reservations to satiate my desire for exploration.
How do you relieve stress?
The ways I relieve stress are relaxing outdoors, reading, playing video games, or enjoying quality time with friends and family. During the warmer months it's not surprising to see me relaxing in a hammock under the shade, while during the winter I'll be hibernating in my room with a good book and a mug of hot chocolate.
If you could choose a superpower what would it be?
The superpower I would choose would be the ability to clone myself. That way I could do everything I want to from chores, relaxing, learning another language, or traveling without having to worry about time limitations.
